McParland bemoans misses

Notts County boss Ian McParland claimed his side created enough chances to have won Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Aldershot Town.

Matt Hamshaw's late equaliser gave County a share of the spoils at the Recreation Ground, but McParland felt his side should have left with all three points.

"Our boys were brilliant tonight and they showed a lot of courage and we passed that football about all over the place," he said.

"Aldershot are not a bad side but we made them look ordinary.

"(Goalkeeper) Josh Lillis only really had two saves to make all night and he hasn't had a great deal to do.

"We broke down the Aldershot defence a number of times, but just couldn't stick the ball into the back of the net.

"The chances were there, but coming down here is difficult and it is a good result."
