Lindfield ends Notts stay

Notts County boss Ian McParland has allowed teenage striker Craig Lindfield to return to Liverpool following his one-month loan spell at Meadow Lane.

The 19-year-old made four appearances for the Magpies, scoring in the win at Accrington Stanley, but has not featured in the first team since the 1-0 home defeat to Macclesfield Town in mid-November.

"Craig's gone back," McParland confirmed to County's official website.

"Had we been a striker down I think we'd have looked to keep him for another month, but we're trying to look after the budget carefully and we feel it might be best to save funds for January.

"Craig's been terrific for us and he's been a real credit."
