Former Notts County striker Tommy Johnson has returned to the club as part of new manager Ian McParland's backroom staff.
Johnson scored over 50 goals for the Magpies during three years with the club and has returned to Meadow Lane to assist McParland and number two Dave Kevan.
"Tommy rang to congratulate me as soon as I was appointed and said that if there was anything he could do to help out, I only had to say," McParland told the club's official website.
"All sorts of jobs need doing around a football club which are nothing to do with kicking a ball and Tommy has agreed to work with Dave and me while we get ourselves sorted.
"At the moment it's a temporary arrangement but you never know what the future might bring."
Meanwhile, County have landed teenage Liverpool striker Craig Lindfield on a month's loan.
