Notts County striker Gavin Gordon could miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken jaw in the 1-1 draw with Rushden & Diamonds.
The 25-year-old was stretchered off after half an hour of the Meadow Lane encounter on Saturday and Magpies player-manager Ian Richardson fears the worst.
He told the club's official website: "I've spoken to the surgeon and Gavin's broken his jaw and could be out for the rest of the season."
Gordon joined County at the start of the season on a free transfer from Cardiff City and has scored eight goals in 32 appearances for the Magpies.
