Edwards injury fears fade

The injury Notts County captain Michael Edwards sustained in the defeat at Rochdale is not too serious, according to manager Ian McParland.

Edwards had to be substituted after suffering a dead leg in the 3-0 loss but should be ready to return to action in this weekend's game against Chesterfield.

McParland said: "There's no strain or pull for Mike. It looks like he got a knee in the hamstring and he has a dead leg.

"It isn't too serious and we hope to have him available for Saturday."
