Former Hull City and Grimsby Town defender Michael Edwards has penned a new contract with Notts County.
Edwards has made 130 appearances for Notts in his four seasons at Meadow Lane, with boss Ian McParland welcoming the 28-year-old's decision to stay.
McParland told the club's official website: "I'm delighted that Mike has committed his future to us. He's an influential figure - on and off the field - and we need people of that calibre if we're to really make progress.
"You couldn't fail to be impressed by the determined manner in which he fought his way back to fitness last year after suffering a terrible injury.
"He exceeded expectations when we had a battle on our hands in the closing stages of the season, and I'm looking for him to do even better once he gets a good pre-season behind him."
