Duo concern Thompson

Notts County manager Steve Thompson is unsure whether injured duo David Pipe and Dan Gleeson will have recovered in time to face Wycombe Wanderers in Tuesday's Carling Cup fourth round clash.

Both players missed Saturday's thrilling 3-3 draw against Boston United - Pipe with a knee injury and Gleeson because of a back problem.

"I'm not sure about David and Dan for Tuesday, but we have to be positive," Thompson told County's official website.

"Dan strained his back last week, and we're hoping that, after having the weekend to relax, it will have settled down a bit.

"David Pipe's injury is a bit more tricky. David is suffering from a medial ligament problem in his knee, and if we risk him and don't treat it properly we could risk losing him for up to two months.

"There are a few others carrying knocks from Saturday, but we'll settle down and start again ahead of the game."
