County lose injured Strachan

Notts County midfielder Gavin Strachan will be out of action for up to six weeks with a hamstring strain.

Strachan, 29, sustained the injury during last weekend's 1-1 draw with Macclesfield Town just fives games into his comeback from a problem with his other hamstring.

"The lad isn't having much luck at the moment and it's looking like six weeks out for him," manager Ian McParland told the club's official website.

"It's his other hamstring and I've been looking at his weights programme and he hasn't been doing anything different.

"It's another knock but he'll stick to his rehab programme like he did last time and I'm sure he'll be back stronger."

Meanwhile, Magpies captain Michael Johnson is an injury doubt for Saturday's game at Chesterfield.
