County lose injured loanee

Notts County have allowed Jason Beardsley to return to Derby County after the on-loan defender picked up an injury.

The 19-year-old was due to remain with the Magpies until January but now faces at least six weeks on the sidelines with a thigh injury.

"It's obviously a blow to lose Jason, but also for the team because he has settled in well and performed to a good standard," manager Ian McParland told the club's official website.

"It's naturally a blow, but injuries are part and parcel of the season and we will deal with it.

"Adam Tann played at right-back last week and he has been unfortunate not to be in the team so far this term, so he will be getting a run in the team now and it is up to him to establish his place."
