Beardsley stays with Magpies

Notts County have extended the loan stay of defender Jason Beardsley until January.

Beardsley, 19, originally joined the Magpies from Derby County on a two-month loan deal.

But after impressing manager Ian McParland, he will now remain at Meadow Lane until the turn of the year.

"Jason has really impressed us since he came here last month," he told the club's official website.

"He is very eager to learn and his hunger and appetite for the game has been fantastic."
