Notts chairman purchases NRFC. Notts County chairman Ray Trew has agreed a deal to purchase Nottingham Rugby Club, citing the great potential of the National League side, who play at Meadow Lane. The green and whites made the play-offs in the second tier of English rugby last season and will be hoping to push on under the leadership of Trew. One of his first acts as Notts chairman was to sign a long term agreement with the rugby club, allowing them to play at Meadow Lane for a further seven years. This news is only likely to reinforce the relationship between the clubs going into the future.
