Thompson eyes bright County future
County ended a disappointing campaign - finishing 19th in the league - on a high by beating promoted Wycombe on Saturday.[LNB]And that boost has left Thompson - who scored both goals - believing they can emulate Wycombe's achievement of reaching League One.[LNB]"It might sound silly but we showed out there on Saturday that we are just as good as Wycombe," he told the club's official website.[LNB]"We know over the course of the season we've just not done it consistently and it hasn't been good enough.[LNB]"It is important we look at the positives; the majority of the team that played will be here next season and we know performances like that will have us challenging."[LNB][LNB]
