Short - We're better than table suggests

Manager Craig Short believes Notts County`s league position is not a true reflection of the standard of football they have been playing. The Magpies, League Two champions last season, took time to adapt following promotion and began the campaign with successive 3-0 defeats. Short`s side have been creating numerous scoring chances without taking them recently and lie 18th ahead of the visit of Plymouth on Saturday. "There`s a fine line between success and failure and at the moment that appears to be very, very thin," said Short. "We should be looking at the play-off positions now they way we`ve been playing. "There`s nothing for them to fear at all. We had a shocking start with Oldham and Huddersfield and half-an-hour down at Bournemouth, but since then I can`t fault them. "I just want them to keep that confidence and keep that faith because I am proud of them but I want them to get what they deserve."
