Short: Our luck will change
Notts County boss Craig Short was left shaking his head in frustration as his side failed to capitalise on a host of chances at Carlisle.
Gary Madine hit the only goal to lift Carlisle up to second place in the table but only after County had wasted a host of chances.
"We have done that a few times this year," he said.
"It was our best performance of the season. We created chances and should have been two or three up before they scored.
"The players gave everything again and I'm sick of saying it. Our performance level was very good but we're not getting what we deserve.
"We missed chances at crucial times. It's hard to criticise the players. I'm more angry for them than at them. We should be looking at the top four or five not looking over our shoulders. It's got to turn, it really has."
