Short: Friendlies will serve us well
Manager Craig Short believes that Notts County`s pre-season friendlies against higher league opposition will stand them in good stead for their League One campaign.
Following a goalless draw with Premier League Stoke and a 2-1 win against Cardiff, Notts slipped to only their second defeat of pre-season against Sheffield United on Tuesday night.
Ched Evans` 88th-minute strike was the difference between the team at Meadow Lane.
" I am glad they are all over now. They were three tough games and we can look forward to the first game of the season against Huddersfield now because they will serve us well," said Short.
"I have been pleased with the attitude of the players. They are an honest bunch."
