The 27-year-old striker, who scored both goals in County's 3-2 defeat to Romanian top-flight team Universtiatiea Craiova on Monday, netted another two goals on Wednesday night. Matt Hamshaw was the other player on the scoresheet. "Luke, again, has not done himself any harm and finished both efforts off very well," Magpies manager Ian McParland told the club's official website. "He might not have even played because of an ankle injury, but he did and he got his rewards." On the game itself, McParland was happy with what he saw from his players. He added: "It was a bit of a scruffy game but we stuck at it, passed the ball well and kept a clean sheet. "On another night we could have had five or six goals, but we got the three and I was happy with a lot of things. Ben Davies and Neal Bishop were excellent in midfield. "It was a totally different game to Monday's against the Romanian team and it is fair to say that both games over here in Austria have been perfect for us and just what we needed at this stage of pre-season."
