Rodgers completes move to County

The 27-year-old free agent impressed with four goals in two games on the Magpies' recent tour of Austria and has now become the club's seventh signing of the summer. Boss Ian McParland is confident the former Shrewsbury, Port Vale and Yeovil forward will make a big impact as County bid for promotion from League Two. "Luke came with us to Austria and certainly made an impression," McParland told County's official website. "He trained superbly and we couldn't argue with his goals return from the two matches we played. "His all-round game is also something I like. He is a tough character with a bit of fire in his belly and he's not scared to get in people's faces and make a nusiance of himself." Rodgers has been included in County's squad for Tuesday night's game at Arnold Town.
