Robinson expects Ince to succeed

Paul Ince has been backed to succeed at Notts County by the MK Dons boss Karl Robinson, who was his assistant at the Dons and Blackburn. Robinson, 30, expects his former boss to perform at Meadow Lane - even if he was surprised with the timing of Craig Short's dismissal. Robinson said: "He'll do very well, he will motivate the players and make them better. I have no doubt he will take them where they want to go to. "At the same time I have to be honest and say I thought it was wrong to sack Craig Short. I thought it was a disgrace, but giving the job to Paul Ince is a step in the right direction for them."
