MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has backed former Dons boss Paul Ince to make an impact at League One rivals Notts County.
Ince had Robinson as his assistant at Dons and Blackburn, and the 30-year-old expects his former boss to perform at Meadow Lane - even if he was surprised with the timing of Craig Short's dismissal.
Robinson said: "He'll do very well, he will motivate the players and make them better. I have no doubt he will take them where they want to go to.
"At the same time I have to be honest and say I thought it was wrong to sack Craig Short. I thought it was a disgrace, but giving the job to Paul Ince is a step in the right direction for them."
