Ravenhill out of Forest friendly
The 28-year-old midfielder picked up a knock in Tuesday's 7-0 win at Arnold Town and, despite responding well to treatment, he will have to wait to make his home debut.
McParland told the club's official website: "Ricky got a nasty whack on Tuesday and we don't really want to risk him.
"The lad thinks he will be ok for the weekend but I'm not going to risk him because we have two games next week against Derby County and Liverpool he can get involved in.
"We can't afford to play Ricky tomorrow and lose him for further games, especially after he has settled in so well."
