Ravenhill misses out

Ricky Ravenhill is out of Notts County`s trip to top of the table Brighton. The midfielder suffered terrible injuries in a freak collision with team-mate Neal Bishop during the early stages of the Magpies' FA Cup second round win against Bournemouth on Tuesday night. He was carried off on a stretcher and was taken to hospital to receive treatment. Manager Paul Ince hopes Ravenhill will be fit to face Rochdale on Boxing Day. "He's still got concussion and a bit of whiplash. He also had six stitches in his chin and two near his eye, so his face is a bit battered," said Ince. "He wanted to play tomorrow night and that just typifies his character, but he's not going to be available. Hopefully he will be back for Boxing Day."
