Stevens set for league bow

Enda Stevens could make his league debut for Notts County against Rotherham.

Stevens joined the club this week on loan from Aston Villa and went straight into the starting line-up for the Magpies' Capital One Cup tie with Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday night, replacing the injured Alan Sheehan at full-back.

With Sheehan (hamstring) still out, the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international could keep his place in the team.

Captain Dean Leacock sat out the second-round tie against the Reds with a knock but there is a chance he may return at centre-half.

Rotherham will have Daniel Nardiello available for the trip.

The striker was suspended for the Millers' 3-0 Capital One Cup defeat at Aston Villa on Wednesday but returns to the squad at Meadow Lane and could go straight into the side for his first start of the season.

Defender Claude Davis (illness) and midfielder David Noble (knock) also missed out at Villa Park and boss Steve Evans is hopeful of having them back.

Evans could make other changes to his side, with Matt Tubbs hopeful of a recall in attack while some players may be rested after their midweek exertions.
