Hughes may miss out for Magpies

Notts County are expected to be without striker Lee Hughes for the FA Cup second-round replay with Rotherham.

The veteran striker missed Saturday's defeat against Brentford through illness and is unlikely to face the Millers.

Fellow forward Yoann Arquin, who scored in the initial tie at the New York Stadium, is battling to be fit after missing the weekend's game through an unspecified injury.

Boss Keith Curle will welcome back Alan Judge to his midfield after the 24-year-old served a one-match ban for being booked five times this season, while defender Krystian Pearce is in contention after returning from his loan spell at Barnet.

Dean Leacock is a doubt after being forced off against the Bees after picking up a first-half knock and fellow defenders Jordan Stewart (hamstring) and Tom Williams (calf) remain sidelined.

Rotherham will be without captain Ian Sharps for the tie.

Sharps played in the 1-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, despite breaking his nose the week before, but, after picking up a fifth booking of the season, he will have to serve a one-game suspension at Meadow Lane.

The skipper's absence is likely to open the door for either Mark Bradley or Jack O'Connell in the heart of defence.

The former should be the preferred option providing he can prove his fitness following a groin injury.

Manager Steve Evans confirmed the rest of his side came through the Dons win unscathed and he will have further food for thought after Kieran Agard's match-winning cameo off the bench.

Both David Noble (ankle) and Dale Tonge (knee/ankle) have returned to full training, although Evans hinted their returns could come in a reverse-team clash against Stoke on Wednesday.

Should the Millers oust Keith Curle's side, Aldershot will be their third-round opponents.
