Labadie back for Magpies

Midfielder Joss Labadie comes back into the reckoning for Notts County as they prepare to host Preston.

Labadie missed the midweek defeat at Gillingham through suspension after he received his fifth yellow card of the season during the 2-0 loss to Swindon last Friday.

Illness ruled Dean Leacock out against the Gills but the County captain could return to the squad, while fellow defender Haydn Hollis has played for the development squad and might be included by manager Chris Kiwomya after recovering from his knee injury.

Yoann Arquin also played in that Under-21 game and could keep his place in the team, especially with fellow striker Enoch Showunmi (back) and on-loan winger Jack Grealish (ankle) still doubtful.

Preston boss Simon Grayson almost has the luxury of a fully-fit squad ahead of the trip.

Jack King was the only absentee during the 2-2 draw with Bradford in midweek but the versatile player has returned to training after being sidelined since August with a foot injury, though the trip to Meadow Lane comes too soon for the 28-year-old.

Grayson may freshen up his side for their third game in a week with David Buchanan, Lee Holmes, Joel Byrom and Iain Hume all ready to come in to the team.

The Lilywhites head to the Sky Bet League One strugglers having won just one of their last five games in all competitions.
