Magpies at full strength

Notts County manager Shaun Derry has the luxury of a full squad to choose from for the visit of Chesterfield.

Kaiyne Woolery and Balint Bajner started up front together against Oldham last weekend and the recent signings could both keep their places in the team.

Derry could be tempted to change something in midfield, though, and he may call on the experience of Alan Smith or Gary Jone.

Alefe Santos, Ronan Murray and Elliott Whitehouse will be hoping to return to the matchday squad after being overlooked for duty at Oldham.

Rarely has Chesterfield manager Paul Cook had so many selection posers, following what was a busy transfer deadline day at the Proact Stadium.

Cook lost leading scorer Eoin Doyle, who made the step up to the Championship with Cardiff, but used some of the funds from that sale to add loan signings Caolan Lavery, Mark Duffy and Ashley Carter to his squad.

Lavery will battle it out with Byron Harrison to replace Doyle in the starting line up while Duffy looks likely to come in for injured winger Dan Gardner. Striker Armand Gnanduillet (groin) will be assessed but winger Gary Roberts (hamstring) remains out.

Cook also has a decision to make in defence. After Gardner limped off against Doncaster last weekend, the manager switched to a central defensive three of Ian Evatt, Charlie Raglan and Sam Hird.
