Clarke stuns County

Two late goals from Jordan Clarke snatched rock-bottom Yeovil a priceless 2-1 win against 10-man Notts County.

In a controversial contest, the Magpies were reduced to 10 men in the 28th minute when Gary Jones was dismissed for a challenge on defender Nathan Smith.

Liam Noble was booked and assistant manager Greg Abbott was sent to the stands for protesting too strongly in the aftermath.

Yeovil used the extra man to their advantage in the rest of the half with Roy Carroll saving well from Ajay Leitch-Smith.

But in the second half, Notts produced a heroic defensive performance to gain the upper hand with Michael Petrasso forcing a good low save from Jed Steer.

The Canadian winger then put Notts in front when he rounded goalkeeper Steer to slip the ball into an empty net after seizing on a poor backpass from Stephen Arthurworrey.

Yeovil looked dead and buried, but in the 84th minute Clarke snatched an equaliser with a deft header and followed it up with a similar effort three minutes later to clinch all three points.
