Moloney likely to make Forest return

The 20-year-old made the short trip to Meadow Lane in the summer and Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie against Forest Green Rovers will signal the end of his stay at the League Two club.[LNB]County owner Peter Trembling believes Forest will loan Moloney to a team in a higher division in the second half of the season unless the Magpies can find the cash to buy him outright.[LNB]But Trembling admits the club, who are in the process of trying to acquire new investment, cannot afford the player at the moment.[LNB]"All Forest have said is that when his loan period is up they will be taking him back," Trembling told the Nottingham Post. "It's up to us to give them a reason for him to come back here, whether that's by loaning him for a longer period or making an offer to buy him.[LNB]"Ideally we would make an offer to buy him but that is dependent on getting investment in. We are trying to get investment into the club and hopefully later this week we will have a better indication of where we are at."[LNB][LNB]
