McParland quiet over transfer funds
The Magpies are in talks with Middle East consortium Munto Finance Ltd, who could invest heavily in the club.
But McParland told BBC Radio Nottingham: "There won't be open cheque books, but it is going to put the club in good stead for years to come.
"I don't know what money is available, that is up to the people upstairs.
"But I don't want it to be a blank cheque book because there is only certain players you can attract to our division."
