McParland playing 'Big Brother'

The Magpies are set for a mid-table finish this season after an indifferent campaign and McParland is encouraging his players to finish the season on a high regardless of whether or not they will be staying at Meadow Lane beyond the end of the season. "There are always scouts in the stand doing reports on our players and what they have to realise is someone is watching them every time they step out on the pitch," he told his club's official website. "So, what I'm saying is they have to be on top of their game all the time. "I'm watching them in training, when they have their lunch, when I'm chatting to them and also in games." McParland has also appealed to the Football Association against a charge of improper conduct after being sent to the stands during the 3-2 defeat to Shrewsbury on March 7.
