McParland, who is known to be in the market for a striker after allowing Spencer Weir-Daley to leave the club last month, did not reveal any details about the potential deal but hopes to have the player at Meadow Lane before Saturday.[LNB]"I could get someone in this week. I have targeted a player and hopefully I might be able to get him, but I can't promise anything," said the Scot.[LNB]McParland also refused to rule out any more new arrivals, but stressed that he will not be spending money unnecessarily.[LNB]"I am keen to do business and if I think we need the players I will do all I can to get them," he added. "But anyone who does come in must be right for the dressing room and the way we play. One thing I won't do is bring players in just for the sake of it and overload the squad."[LNB]Meanwhile, the Magpies' home game against Gillingham, which was postponed last Tuesday because of snow, has been rearranged for March 17.[LNB][LNB]
