McParland busy with summer targets
The 47-year-old is keen to bolster his squad over the summer and could bring as many as 10 players to Meadow Lane in time for the new campaign.
"We're well down the line with a few but players won't commit themselves early unless they are bang sure," he told the club's official website. "I'm trying to be proactive to make sure that the players I talk to are confident Notts County is right for them.
"I know they like to keep their options open and that is why I like to see them face-to-face so we can look each other in the eye.
"One player I would really like to get is going to give me an answer on Monday. I'm sure he would be a very good addition to our squad.
"I spoke to another last Tuesday who I got a good feel for and he seemed to have a good feel for us. I haven't been back to him yet with a firm offer but I will be doing so."
