Burnley midfielder Kevin McDonald has joined Notts County on loan until the end of the season. The 22-year-old recently spent three months on loan with Championship side Scunthorpe. McDonald has made just one appearance for the Clarets this season, scoring in the Carling Cup victory at Morecambe in August. Burnley manager Eddie Howe said: "Notts County approached us wanting to take Kevin and we think it will benefit him to get games at a good level. "Hopefully he will go there and do well and we will be following his progress very closely. "Notts County are a good club, well managed by Paul Ince, so it's a good opportunity for Kevin to go there and hopefully get some match time under his belt."
