Magpies chief eyes local rivals
The Middle Eastern consortium Munto Finance took control of the world's oldest professional club on Tuesday and have outlined their ambitions to be playing Championship football within five years - pitting them against their more successful city neighbours.
Nottingham-born Trembling told the Nottingham Evening Post: "Nobody can argue with the fact Forest have been the bigger club for the last 30 years, with their record, absolutely.
"But Notts County were a big club and are potentially an extremely big club.
"Nothing would give me greater pleasure and the supporters of Notts County greater pleasure, and actually probably the supporters of Nottingham Forest, than the two clubs competing at the very highest level in the same division."
