Reports have suggested that the former England boss is set to quit his role as director of football amid rumours that the club is for sale.[LNB]But Backe, appointed by Eriksson in late October, believes the task facing his fellow Swede at Meadow Lane is too challenging to walk away from.[LNB]"This has been the biggest challenge for him - to build a team from League Two and take it forward - so I don't think Sven will leave," Backe told Sky Sports News.[LNB]Backe also feels that proposed new owners will not affect his position at the club or have an impact on the field.[LNB]He added: "If something happens then we will have to wait and see. If new owners are coming in then we will have to see what happens. It was only this morning that I have seen headlines since I have been involved and if you look at the players and the way they train I don't think it has affected them."[LNB][LNB]
