Notts County first-team coach Tommy Johnson has left his position following a review of the backroom team by manager Paul Ince. Johnson, who started his playing career at Meadow Lane, became a fans' favourite and scored 47 goals in just over 100 appearances for the club. Having gone on to play for Derby, Aston Villa and Celtic, Johnson returned to Notts as a coach in 2007 alongside former boss Ian McParland. A statement on the club`s official website said: "Everyone at Notts County would like to thank Tommy for all his hard work at the club and wishes him all the best for the future."
