Jackson moves on loan to Charlton

The 27-year-old was not in the Magpies squad for the 1-1 draw with Grimsby at Meadow Lane on Wednesday night.[LNB]Caretaker manager Dave Kevan insists there was no pressure from the club's new owner Ray Trew to let the former Tottenham trainee leave and return to London.[LNB]"I have to say it's disappointing. It's mainly for family reasons. His wife is heavily pregnant. She's down in London so it suits him," said Kevan.[LNB]"It was not forced on us by the finances. There was no pressure on me to allow him to go. I didn't want him to go. I spoke to the chairman and (chief executive) Jim Rodwell and they were happy for us to keep him.[LNB]"That's what we tried to do but Jacko sees it as an opportunity in his career to gain a permanent move to Charlton. It is a possibility he will come back here though, absolutely."[LNB][LNB]
