The 24-year-old, who played with a groin injury for the final two months of the 2007/08 campaign to help the club stave off relegation, is set to learn his fate when he has talks with manager Ian McParland this week.[LNB]His groin injury required an operation in July last year and he did not return to training until late October, which has effected his form during this campaign.[LNB]"I played with the injury when maybe I shouldn't have done but the club needed me," he told the Nottingham Evening News. "I did it for the club and the manager, not for myself. I had no problem with that but it did set me back this season. It took me until November to get fit.[LNB]"It's been a nightmare season for me, it's been horrible.[LNB]"I have learnt you need to keep your head down and work hard and I think I have done that. I have done extra work in the gym after training. Hopefully the staff realise that."[LNB][LNB]
