Edwards: It`s early days

Notts County's Mike Edwards has called for fans to keep the faith following the club`s poor start to the season. The Magpies won the League Two title last season but are bottom of League One after successive 3-0 defeats to Huddersfield and Oldham. Edwards, who joined the Magpies in May 2004 and is the club's longest-serving player, made his first league start of the campaign against the Latics after being left out against Town. "We have got to put the last two games behind us, get back on the training pitch this week, get the build-up right for our next game against Dagenham to try to put it all right," the defender told the Nottingham Post. "Everyone will focus on the last two results. We know they are unacceptable, but it's early days. We know we can play at this level. "The confidence is there and we are better than what we have shown. I just hope everyone stays with us. We have to be judged over a season, not two games."
