Edwards bemoans modern day game

The 29-year-old picked up his fifth yellow of the season at Bury and is now suspended for the weekend's visit of Aldershot.[LNB]Edwards told the club's official website: "It's changed a bit from when I first started playing; you can't go through the back of attackers or anything like that because they're a bit softer nowadays, so they're making our job a little bit harder.[LNB]"But it's how it goes now in a game so you've just got to be a little bit more careful. I've always said you go out and you try to do your best every game and sometimes you have to make challenges, which can unfortunately lead to bookings.[LNB]"Against Bury, I thought the ref might've just given me a warning but he hasn't. It's disappointing as I think four of my five bookings have maybe been the first foul that I've done in a game.[LNB]"I've been a bit disappointed with the ones I've accumulated but with it being a home game as well, it's a bit gutting because I was looking forward to getting another big crowd down here and getting another win."[LNB][LNB]
