County currently sit 17th in the table with little to play for, but the 33-year-old has set his sights high for next term.
"We've set a target of points we want to achieve between now and the end of the season and then next year we're going to go for it," the former Birmingham and Ipswich man told County's official website.
"I don't think we're that far off. We're improving and getting there - I think that is clear to see.
"We just need to be able to get that second goal to help us on our way when we do go ahead."
