County set to bolster teen ranks

The group have impressed in the Magpies' under-16 side. Centre of Excellence manager Mick Leonard said: "I'm delighted with how the season has gone in our first year and to be in a position where we are offering scholarships to 15 players is tremendous." (Manager) Ian McParland, the chairman (John Armstrong-Hughes) and the board have been very supportive and I know they are excited by the prospect of the youth team returning. The next step is to have some of the players make it through to the first team." The 15 players offered scholarships are Liam Mitchell, Ainsworth Calum, Mason Rowley, Jack Lampe, Lewis Chambers, Nathan Fox, Hayden Hollis, Lewis Whiteley, Alex Troke, Reiss Neil, Ben Whittaker, Adam Langley, Chris Langham, Jamie O'Connell and Lewis Williamson.
