Notts County striker Luke Rodgers has had his contract with the club terminated by mutual consent. Rodgers, who will turn 29 on New Year's Day, joined the Magpies from Yeovil on a free transfer in the summer of 2009 and scored 14 goals in 53 appearances. A statement on the club's official website said: "Luke leaves with Notts County's best wishes and the club would like to thank him for his efforts." Rodgers, who saw a move to the MLS collapse earlier this year, made just five appearances for the Magpies this season.
