County are still awaiting ratification relating to the investment from Munto Finance, a Swiss-based Middle East consortium. The takeover was discussed at a meeting of the Football League board in London on Thursday. Mystery has surrounded the identities of the investors since their takeover at the World's oldest Football League club in the summer. Notts County expected the takeover to be rubber-stamped but, despite providing more information about their new owners, there are issues that remain outstanding. However, Trembling was satisfied following the meeting and remains confident that the matter will be resolved shortly. "We are very encouraged by what has happened in the last couple of days. We also had a few meetings behind closed doors and we are encouraged by the progress made," Trembling told Sky Sports News. "I am not going to go into detail about what the Football League has specifically requested. We furnished them with a lot of details and they need clarification on a few details. We don't see it as being a problem whatsoever and hopefully within the next few days that will be it."
