County chief hits out at scrutiny

Trembling has revealed that the investors, Swiss-based Middle East consortium Munto Finance, are unhappy at the way the takeover has been reported.[LNB]He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "They are extremely angry. What's happened over the last few weeks has been extremely demoralising.[LNB]"The unprecedented backlash they have had from certain sections of the media has been quite scandalous."[LNB]Trembling added: "I just can't fathom why people aren't applauding the fact that these Middle East businessmen want to invest in Notts County.[LNB]"I don't know if it's jealousy or a vendetta or pure spite and maliciousness."[LNB]The Football League board meet on Thursday to discuss the takeover by Munto Finance, many of whose investors remain unknown.[LNB]Trembling remains convinced that the takeover will be ratified.[LNB]"I met one of the owners over the weekend and they are the nicest people you could wish to meet and so genuine about what they want to do," he said.[LNB]"They are still enthusiastic about this football club and about this project but there is a real air of concern at the moment.[LNB]"I expect a 100% ratification, I don't envisage any problems and if there were I fear the consequences."[LNB][LNB]
