County boss hails Rodgers show
The diminutive forward opened the scoring after just 14 seconds and scored with an almost identical finish after 25 minutes, before completing his treble a minute from time.
"I am delighted for Luke to get a hat-trick, what a night, 14 seconds was a good time to score," said McParland.
"Luke has been unlucky but he keeps on going. I wouldn't like to be a centre-half playing against him. Their centre-halves were looking tired and he wore them down."
It was only County's second away win of the season and ended a run of three successive away defeats, moving McParland's side back into the play-off places.
The Scot added: "We dug deep and battled, it was a tough game. We have probably played better away from home and lost."
