Clapham keen to cement County spot
The 34-year-old had a stop-start beginning to the 2009/10 campaign, making most of his limited appearances from the Magpies bench.[LNB]But under new boss Hans Backe he is determined to hold down his place in the starting XI.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "I didn't start the season but you have to keep believing and I believe in my ability. I kept my head down and kept working hard.[LNB]"There is a new manager now and hopefully I'm impressing him."[LNB]He added: "Whoever's involved knows that the team will get changed if you don't perform. I see it every day that we have a lot of talent. Everyone will get an opportunity and you need to enjoy it."[LNB][LNB]
