Chilvers set for Meadow Lane
Notts County are expected to complete the signing of defender Liam Chilvers on Friday morning.
The 28-year-old was released by Preston earlier in the summer and Magpies manager Craig Short sees him as a worthy addition to his ranks as the East Midlands club look to hold their own in League One.
Chilvers, who made nine league appearances for County on loan from Arsenal back in 2001/02, will make the switch subject to the successful completion of a medical, penning a two-year deal.
