Chilvers blow for Magpies

Notts County boss Paul Ince will be forced to change a winning team for the FA Cup visit of Bournemouth. The Magpies recorded back-to-back league wins for the first time this season by beating MK Dons, with Ince fielding the same side that had previously defeated Swindon. However, Liam Chilvers suffered suspected knee ligament damage in that game and the defender is facing a lengthy absence. Krystian Pearce, his replacement on Saturday, could come into the team for his first start since the end of October. Lee Hughes made his return from injury and illness as a second-half substitute against the Dons and he could get another run-out. Fellow striker Luke Rodgers missed out at the weekend and he is still nursing an ankle problem. Defender Sam Sodje is close to a return to the squad following a troublesome knee injury. The winners of the tie will face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in round three on January 8.
