Bishop: Bees criticism is nonsense

The 27-year-old snubbed a one-year contract offer from the Bees last month, preferring to accept a two-year deal with the Magpies. That prompted Barnet to criticise their former captain for the way he informed them of his departure, but he insists it did not happen in that way. "It's a load of nonsense I told Ian (Hendon, the Barnet manager) in a text, I spoke to him and told him I was coming to Notts," he told the Nottingham Evening Post. "He said he understood and told me I'm joining a good club. He knows because he was captain (of County). "I sent him a text asking him to ring me because I couldn't get hold of him on his holiday. "I was thinking of staying because Ian Hendon is a top bloke and a really good manager. But as soon as I met the manager (Ian McParland) and Dave (Kevan) I got a good feeling for Notts. I knew it was the right club for me."
