Gareth John Williams started his career at Nottingham Forest. In 2001/2002 he won their Player of the Year Award after 47 appearances in in his first full season as a professional footballer. He also captained Forest on sevral occasions. Williams had a successful end to the 2003/04 season, scoring 5 goals in the last 11 games.
